Welcome to our wiki!Our reading classes have been studying the historical novel Turn Homeward, Hannalee by Patricia Beatty. Set during the U. S. Civil War, the novel tells the story of twelve-year-old Hannalee Reed, who is forced to relocate from Roswell, Georgia to Indiana to work in a Yankee textile mill. She promises her mother that she will return home as soon as the war ends. We have created this site to share our learning and to provide a study guide for other teachers and students.
